Privacy Policy

Cold Turtle is operated by Adam Nnoli ("we", "us"). This policy explains what the Cold Turtle app and the coldturtle.app website do with information. The short version: your plan and your logs stay on your phone, and we don't know who you are.
What stays on your device
The app stores the following on your phone only. It is not sent to us.
- What you use (for example pouches, vapes or cigarettes), how many a day, and the strength you enter
- Your plan, your quit date and your pace
- Everything you log, including cravings and their outcome
- What you spend, if you enter it
- Your reminder settings
There are no accounts. We don't ask for your name, email address or phone number. Deleting the app deletes this data. It is not backed up to our servers because we don't have any that receive it.
Anonymous usage data
To understand how the app is used and improve it, the app sends anonymous usage events to our analytics provider, PostHog, which stores them in the United States. These events describe actions in the app, such as which onboarding step was viewed, that something was logged and its general type (for example "pouch"), and whether the craving timer was completed.
Each event includes a random identifier created by the app and general technical details about your device and the app: device model and maker, operating system version, app version and build, screen size, and your language, region and time zone settings. Events do not include your name, email address, anything you type, or your precise location. We have configured PostHog to discard IP addresses. We do not use session recording.
This information is not linked to your identity and we do not try to identify you from it.
Purchases and subscriptions
Subscriptions are sold through Apple's App Store. Apple processes your payment. We never see your card details. We use Superwall to display the subscription screen and to know whether a subscription is active. Superwall and Apple receive an anonymous app identifier, information about your subscription status and purchases, and basic device information.
Notifications
If you turn on reminders, they are scheduled on your device. We do not send them from a server and we do not receive your notification settings.
If you contact us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to tell us. We use it only to reply and to fix problems.
The website
coldturtle.app does not use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. Our hosting provider, Vercel, automatically processes standard technical information such as IP address and browser type in order to deliver the site and keep it secure.
What we don't do
- We don't sell your personal information.
- We don't share it for advertising.
- We don't show ads.
Age
Cold Turtle is intended for adults who use nicotine. It is not directed to anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices and rights
Because your plan and logs are stored only on your device, you control them directly: deleting the app removes them. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information we hold, or to object to its use. Since the usage data we receive is anonymous, we usually cannot match it to you, but contact us and we will help as far as we can.

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and post the new version here.
